In his book Inventing Kindergarten, Norman Brosterman explores the aesthetic value of the Froebel Gifts and then illustrates how they influenced 20th century painters and architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright, Kandinsky, Paul Klee and many others. Brostermans contentions are generating a lively discussion among Art Historians.
The exhibit will start in Albany, New York and travel round the USA and perhaps internationally.
