Froebel stamp

I have a stamp issued in honor of my ancestor, Friedrich Froebel, from Germany 1949. Orange tones: says "Deutsche Post" (German Mail) and say also "Helft der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege die Not zu Lindern", then it is 20 (Pfennigs) + 10 (pfennigs)

German Froebel charity stamp was issued 14 December, 1949. The value is 20 Pf + 10 Pf (for charity). Six million were issued. They were good for postage until 31 March, 1951. The Michel catalog number is 119. The Michel value (1996/97 catalog) is 50 DM for "PostFrisch" (also called Mint Never Hinged), 25 DM for Mint Hinged, and 40 DM for Used. The Scott catalog number is B312. The Scott value (1998 catalog) is $US 22 for "PostFrisch" (also called Mint Never Hinged), $US 11 for Mint Hinged, and $US 16 for Used. You should never pay more than 50% of the catalog value unless it is impossible to find it elsewhere.
